Mångata ("Moo-Ahn-Ga-Ta") , roughly translating to: 'moon street', refers to the light shone from the moon, onto a large body of water, creating what looks like a path of light, ahead of you.

'Mångata.' is a dark, ethereal piece, the largest in Metal Fairy Wings' current collection.

The light, like a 'moon street' encourages the viewer to lean into their imagination and fill in the blanks, for themselves.

It consists of light, bursting out of water, and reflections from fairies, glowing flower, and the moon.

Mångata is the piece that changes most depending on the viewer. 

What do you see? It may be completely different to what was created when painted.

That's exactly the point. You create what you think the piece. What is in the darkness?

This is accentuated when looking at the piece in person, as under the paint, are 3D shapes such as stars, spirals, and sparkles, that can only be seen from certain angles.

Care Instructions

These posters are delicate, although they are gloss laminated and are wipeable, they must be handled with care to retain the original standard, unless you’d like to just love them and let the natural wear happen! I respect either choice!
